Rosemary Scanlon
Rosemary is a nationally recognized economist and an expert on the economy of New York City and its region. Rosemary directs our economic research work. She has conducted research focusing on a variety of sectors and has prepared economic development strategies for New York City, London, and other major cities. She is an expert in utilizing economic data, modeling, and other sources of information to analyze and forecast industry and labor force trends. Rosemary was Chief Economist at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and served for four years as Deputy State Comptroller for the City of New York. She is an Associate Professor of Economics at New York University’s Real Estate Institute.
Alex Garvin & Associates
Alex Garvin & Associates specializes in the development of the public realm, including city streets, squares, sidewalks, and parks. The firm uses an interdisciplinary approach to produce physically, financially, and politically feasible plans for each of its clients. The firm has worked on projects throughout the United States and in Europe.
Timothy Ross, Action Research Partners
Dr. Timothy Ross is the director of Action Research Partners, an organization that conducts research, evaluation and policy analysis to improve human services. Dr. Ross is an applied research and urban policy specialist with over 15 years of experience researching and evaluating programs designed to improve social services. Prior to founding Action Research Partners, he served as a Senior Program Area Director and Senior Research Scientist at Child Trends as well as Director of Research at the Vera Institute of Justice. He is a member of the New York City Administration for Children’s Services Commissioner’s Advisory Board, the Good Shepherd Services Evaluation Advisory Board, the Family Finding Evaluation Advisory Board, and serves as an Affiliated Scholar at the Vera Institute.
